i’m 21 and i was born in amsterdam.
i am also part french.
bonjour. 

i like that feeling when you’re drinking cold water and you feel it go down into your stomach. i like the burning you get on your palms when you’ve fallen over and scraped them. i also like more regular things like books, my analog cameras and sunny mornings.

Fashion excites me but I am hardly trendy. i wish i could sew properly. sometimes I make clothes but they aren’t very beautiful. somehow i only ever manage to wake up early on a weekend. once i’m awake, i love the morning, anything feels possible in the morning.

i enjoy science ficton and especially the fantasy genre; its magical. (i also love bad jokes and puns). harry potter was my first love and star trek wins over star wars any day, despite my immortal love for harrison ford. i read green lantern comic books and although everyone seems to think aquaman is a douche, i love him a lot. dc comics definitely wins over anything marvel. i also really love hawkman and hawkgirl, deadman and dove, batman and robin, of course. superman and firestorm. i read a lot of comic books.

i collect post cards, stamps and pez dispensers. i spend too much money on going to conventions and figurines. frodo is my favourite lotr character; he makes me feel like anything is possible. i can also relate to his whiney moments quite often. i don’t look forward to christmas but i am so grateful for the doctor who specials. I’d love a ride in the tardis. if i could have a superpower i’d like to be able to bend time and space. i have a thing for zombies. i want to learn quenya and klingon, also welsh and gaelic. 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything and i agree that the world is a giant computer. the lion king and the sword in the stone are my favourite disney movies.

i’m currently studying sinology at uni. that means i study chinese and anything related to China, history, econoimcs, politics, art etc. it’s quite fun although i won’t lie, it’s the most work i’ve ever had to do. I don’t know what I want to do later, so i figured sinology sounded exciting and that i could travel a lot. i dont know nearly enough about ‘real’ asian culture but i could talk to you about pop music and celebrities for over an hour. i watch too many asian dramas to keep my brain sane. i also immensely enjoy korean pop music. I especially love Big Bang, Super Junior, Shinee, Exo, Infinite and SS501. i also especially love chinese history and i’m always reading memoirs.

I also have this Bon Jovi obsession.

I’m fascinated by anything to do with the legends of Merlin and Prince/King Arthur and if I could win a trip to anywhere, it would be Wales. I’m currently trying to teach myself welsh. sut dych chi heddiw? I can’t do cartwheels and i’d like to learn to make jam.

sometimes i feel as if i were insane. it’s not very fun. but sometimes i feel like that’s alright and as if i were some clever person in a artsy movie. i think imagination makes up a big part of who I am. i’m not quite sure of anything, ever. i talk a lot of shit.
